Are you ready for an adventure?

So are you really ready for an adventure? We sometimes think we are ready. Or, at least we like to say we are ready for adventure. But are we really? When was the last time you tried something new? When was the last time you really challenged yourself to do something you didn’t think you could do? Talk is not action and action starts with a thought.

What are you thinking right now? To be ready for change we need to be open to it in our minds. We cannot wait for someone else to do it first; we need to be the instrument of change for our families, for our friends, for our communities, for our church, for our country, for our world.

We cannot shrink from this responsibility because it does not go away. It starts with us. If we complain we want change yet refuse to change ourselves we set that same example for others. This is what got us here.

Be determined to get out of that rut. It took a long time to make it and it may take a long time to get out of it but be determined! Otherwise, we must be comfortable with where we are at now. If we continue to do the same as we have done we will continue to get the results we have gotten.

So what’s it going to be? Will you inspire greatness within your sphere of influence by your example and be the catalyst for change? Will you take that risk? This is a choice that is yours and yours alone. To be an inspiration to those around you must first succeed in your own adventure. This can be a lonely road but choose to persevere, for there are others watching you. You can do it. Seize the adventure before you today and press on towards the prize.
